We left LAX on 25 April. We landed in London the next morning and spent a couple of hours in the First Class Lounge awaiting our flight to Barcelona. Once there we took a bus to Sitges and met up with our friend Amanda and her new son, Ramji at her flat near the center of town. She went to pick him up from school and we had some time to roam the city and get our bearings. I must say that it was great to fly all night and visit the spa in the First Class Lounge in the morning, get a massage and enjoy the food there before heading to Barcelona. I must say here that I love the Spanish people. They’re so warm and friendly. Never has my High School Spanish meant to much to me (thanks Mr. Murphy & Miss Upman).

On our first day in Sitges, we had lunch at Montroig, went to the beach for gelatto and had dinner at Amanda’s place where we met Ramji who was home from school. He was so thrilled to see us until mom asked him to study his Catalan before bed. He was upset but when we said we’d go with him to his football game on Saturday, all was forgiven. He is such a good boy!
